StoneMakers will be exhibiting at the Concrete Decor Show on Feb. 20-24, 2012 in San Antonio, Texas. Now in its third year the event focuses on the hands-on training and continuing education decorative concrete contractors and specialty artisans need to improve their knowledge and skills and expand their business opportunities.
David Montoya, President and founder of StoneMakers, is conducting an interactive day-long workshop of the new LedgeFalls System for resort style water features. Highlighting the speed and versatility of using a lightweight, composite panel water-feature system, Dave will discuss the process of putting in one of these systems, from initial site review and design to fabrication and installation. The workshop will feature hands-on demonstrations of advanced colorization techniques, focusing on realism and capturing the true essence of natural stone. Topics covered will also include mixing, blending and shadowing, highlights and lowlights, as well as color application tips and techniques.
Live demonstrations of the latest product and equipment developments are scheduled at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center alongside exhibits. During three action-packed days, the demo pavilion showcases competitions in three arenas dedicated to polished concrete, concrete coatings, and countertops and precast fabrication. Exhibits and demos take place Feb. 22-24. On Wednesday and Thursday a lunch, included free with event registration, is served in the exhibit hall to allow attendees uninterrupted time to see the action and talk with industry leaders.
